Speed is essential in a startup, but sometime you just need to slow down. Running full speed is great, but if you miss significant shortcuts because you only see the near-term goal, you are doing yourself a disservice.

It really pays off to step back and re-consider your problems from a few angles. Don’t try to frame your problems in term of solutions, but rather, in terms of end-results. Is there another way to achieve those results that would be easier? Don’t feel guilty about taking the easy way. It just means that you have more time to tackle other problems.
